Smart Design Considerations to Prevent Hazards in Elderly Home care

Abstract

This research explores current strategies and approaches to use smart technology in the Elderly care homes Interior Design to support independent living and to Provide Safety requirements in space to protect old people from environmental hazards ,because they face challenge in everday life due to there weakness in there body muscles and poor consciousness.

Smart Technologies deployed in Elderly Care homes are transiting from manual assistive technology to more intelligent devices that can be easy used by them. According to existing practices and Theories,The universal design is an extensively adopted strategy for smart design to help prevent falls and improve falls management.

The Use Smart technology intervention in space will directly affect Elderly physical, psychological, and emotional well-being to help them maintain their independence all of which promote longevity.The research shows that both interior design modification and smart technologies can support older adults’ independent living, especially with fall prevention and indoor accessibility.
