Abstract

The Greek or Greek civilization is considered to be the civilization of ancient Greece, which extended from 1200 BC immediately after the end of the Mycenaean (or Mycenaean) civilization until the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC. It is worth noting that it was a period full of scientific, political, philosophical, and artistic achievements. As it left an unparalleled impact on Western civilization.
The Greek architects presented the Greek architecture through a group of the most magnificent and distinguished buildings in the entire ancient world, and many of their buildings (temples, theaters, and stadiums) became essential features of countries and cities from the Middle Ages until now.
The Greeks' interest in simplicity, proportion, perspective, and harmony in their buildings continues to influence the thought of architects to this day.
In this research, we will study rhythm and abstraction in some classical architecture systems (the periodic system, the ionic system and the Corinthian system), and how to benefit from them in creating designs that move away from expressive directness and towards abstract beauty; by studying the golden ratio found in Greek buildings and applied in the design of furniture.
