Abstract

Cinema emerged as an art based on images, and filmmakers began making short films that would attract attention to this new invention, “cinema.” Cinema has become one of the most widespread and influential arts on the recipient, due to its dazzling nature in terms of the technical and aesthetic level. Cinema is more simulating of reality than other arts. It is no longer limited to entertainment films only, but has become one of the most important means of mass communication with a strong impact. Cinema has gone through many stages and development in which many creative people in the artistic and commercial fields participated, as the element of creativity and production all work to bring joy to the hearts of viewers and increase their social and cultural awareness. Given the importance of cinema in our lives, the researcher will discuss the origins of cinema and the most important artistic schools and movements that led to the development of the cinematic image in this research.
