Using Mock Leno Structure and Loop Yarns to Enrich the Fabrics of Summer Clothes
Assist. Prof. Dr. / Adel Abdel Moneim Abd Allah Abo Khozaim Spinning, Weaving and Knitting Dept, Faculty of Applied Arts, Benha University adel.abokhozaim@fapa.bu.edu.eg Abstract The research aimed to produce innovative summer clothing fabrics with different arrangements of colors and materials, warp and weft threads, through the use of the Mock Leno structure, due to its characteristic presence of mesh in the fabric and curvature of the warp and weft threads, and combining that with the use of fancy loop yarns with a flat surface. A number of 5 designs of Mock leno fabrics were created and implemented on 5 different warp beams. Four designs were implemented on the first drafting system, and the fifth design was implemented only on the second drafting system. A questionnaire was prepared to evaluate the research samples carried out and verify their statistical hypothesis research, and it was distributed to 63 faculty members in the textile departments of the various colleges of applied arts and some textile engineers in the design and planning departments. Through the implemented fabrics and analysis of the questionnaires, a conclusion was reached. The use of mock leno structures for summer fabrics increases the mech of these fabrics and increases their richness. As well as the use of fancy loop yarns and their marl colors gives the summer clothing fabrics a heterogeneous surface, which increases its beauty and value.
