Abstract

The field of contemporary furniture design is witnessing a shift towards innovation, inspired by nature, particularly geomorphic shapes such as mountains and hills. This research aims to study the impact of geomorphic design on contemporary furniture by integrating natural beauty with practical functionality and environmental sustainability. By adapting natural forms to meet the needs of modern spaces, geomorphic design seeks to achieve a balance between aesthetics and comfort. The research also focuses on the use of sustainable materials, contributing to reducing the environmental impact of furniture.
Furthermore, the study discusses the role of modern technologies, such as 3D printing, in enhancing these designs, which helps improve precision and innovation in furniture creation. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between designers and geologists, as this partnership can produce design solutions that merge science and art.
The study concludes that geomorphic design is not only an aesthetic element but also a tool for achieving environmental and economic sustainability. The research recommends the development of educational programs aimed at raising consumer awareness of the benefits of this type of design in the future, thus promoting sustainability and improving quality of life.
