Abstract

The influence of color on human emotion and behavior has deep roots in psychology and environmental design, with a history spanning back to early theories in color psychology and ecological behavior. In hospitality spaces, where guest comfort, satisfaction, and emotional engagement are crucial, color uniquely shapes experiences. Colors can also significantly affect conscious and subconscious emotional responses, influencing relaxation, sociability, and spending patterns. The impact of color on human emotion and behavior in hospitality spaces is crucial because it directly enhances guest experiences by setting an atmosphere and mood, influencing emotions and perception of space. Colores can evoke specific moods, guiding guest behaviors such as relaxation in rooms or socializing in dining areas, contributing to memorable and enjoyable stays. Additionally, strategic color design can optimize space use, encourage spending time, and help meet guests' diverse cultural and personal preferences. The main challenge in understanding color’s impact on human emotion and behavior in hospitality spaces is its subjective and context-dependent nature. Many different colors can give hotel guests a great experience, thus this research aims to find suitable colors that will effectively put guests into a state of comfort and tranquillity. By influencing how guests feel and act, they will have a much better experience while staying at the hotel.
