Abstract

The research is directed to study the environmental sustainability of the components of the dwelling in the city of Shibam Hadhramaut in Yemen, for its historical importance environmentally as the climatic conditions of the city have an impact on its suitability for the buildings of the city of Shibam, the diversity of Yemeni architecture styles such as the heritage city of Shibam Hadhramaut and its impact on the environmental environment, and the study also tends to clarify environmental sustainability in interior designThe main problem of this study lies in the great need to document and revive the features of the interior design of housing in the city of Shibam with a vision that achieves environmental sustainability in order to preserve its human heritage, and the importance of the research is determined in its analytical study of the components of the multi-role Shibami dwelling, as it is a realistic problem that the city of Shibam Hadhramaut suffers from cracks and the collapse of parts of some of its mud buildings to be included by UNESCO in 2015, on the list The research aims to provide an analytical study of environmental sustainability in the interior design of the Shibami dwelling, in order to preserve its heritage value.Accordingly, the research has reached the definition of criteria for the revival and documentation of the componentsof the Shibami housing in Yemen with a vision that achieves environmental sustainability in order to preserve its human heritage.
