Abstract

Technological development has brought about a qualitative shift in the elements of interactive interior design, which seeks to enhance human interaction with the surrounding environment. This development has contributed significantly to improving the environments of rehabilitation centers for children with post-traumatic stress disorder. Emotion recognition sensors, through the analysis of facial expressions, tone of voice or speech, physiological signals, and written texts, allow for a deeper understanding of children's psychological state. These sensors can be integrated with interior design elements such as lighting, colors, and interactive walls, so that they automatically respond to the child's state, which contributes to enhancing their positive feelings, or improving their mood when feeling sad, which leads to enhancing children's response to psychological treatment and their progress towards recovery. The research aims to identify the design needs of rehabilitation centers for children with post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as the requirements that contribute to improving the interior design and furniture of these centers. It was found that interactive interior design based on emotions has a positive effect in supporting children with post-traumatic stress disorder, and contributes to supporting the recovery process by creating a suitable environment that responds to their feelings and is adaptable to their needs.
