Abstract

:
The current research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a training program in enhancing technical competencies related to the use of educational platforms among teachers in Bahrah Governorate, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also aimed to assess the level of teachers' engagement with educational platforms in the teaching process. The researcher employed both the descriptive and quasi-experimental methods, adopting an experimental design based on two groups. The research sample consisted of 182 teachers, out of which 40 teachers were purposefully selected—those who scored the lowest on the technical competencies scale related to the use of educational platforms—to participate in the experiment.

The researcher developed a scale to measure technical competencies related to the use of educational platforms. One of the key findings of the study was that the level of teachers’ practice of technical competencies in using educational platforms was high. Moreover, statistically significant differences were found between the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group (who underwent the training program) on the technical competencies scale, indicating the impact of the training. Statistically significant differences were also observed between the post-test scores of the experimental group and those of the control group (who did not undergo the training program), further supporting the effectiveness of the training program based on technical competencies for the use of educational platforms.
