Designing a technical file for Saudi men's fashion inspired by traditional heritage

Fashion in Saudi Arabia represents a social, religious and economic value, as it embodies in the essence of its contents a number of educational and social meanings, and the symbolic indications of its practice, as traditional costumes are worn on special occasions such as: weddings and holidays, and they give an impression of sophistication and distinction.
The industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia received attention since the beginning of the development process.
The textile and clothing industry sector is considered one of the most important branches in the industrial sector, and it has an important role in employing of manpower, and it also contributes to providing some local needs of textile and clothing.
The research aims to design a technical file for the stages of men's clothing production derived from the traditional Saudi heritage, in an attempt to preserve the clothing heritage and support the industry with guiding technical files.
The importance of the research is to contribute to preserving Saudi heritage and traditional clothing, and also to strengthening identity in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The research followed the descriptive approach (analytical study - applied study) and used questionnaire tools and a sample estimation scale. The results reached suitability of the content of the technical file. It was prepared in terms of comprehensiveness, sequence, clarity, simplification of information, and high control rates for the sample carried out by following the steps of the prepared file.
